Cleveland, Georgia is a small town of less than 3,000 people located in White County, Georgia. Originally settled in 1858, the area was known as Mount Yonah.  The town’s name later changed to honor General Benjamin Cleveland. Today, Cleveland is best known as the birthplace of the popular Cabbage Patch Kids. The doll developed as the craft of Cleveland resident, Xavier Roberts. The dolls are produced at Babyland General Hospital, formerly a medical facility; Roberts transformed the site into a manufacturing center for the dolls.
